Now Then Time Tracking Pro App Reviews

Terrific

The interface is neat, clean, and intuitive. It has easy to use features and does exactly what I need a time-tracking app to do! Plus, the developer is incredibly responsive when Ive emailed about questions--all together, a great combination!

Helpful for those on the billable hour

Was looking for a simple to use tracking tool because my firm does not offer an iPhone or iPad tracking option. Love how easy it is to input and keep tabs on my matters and then export to a spreadsheet. Was up and running in a matter of minutes.

Perfect for Me

Im not big on writing reviews, but I had to do this one. Ive been looking for an app that would make it easier to record what I do all day than our Excel timesheet at the office. I reviewed many, or most, of the other time recording apps and found this one to be perfect for me. This app it is very intuitive; easy to figure out and use right away. In the hierarchical side column of tasks ("now") I was able to duplicate our office timesheet categories and their subordinate tasks. But they look way better and are easier to see in this app than on an Excel timesheet. The time per task in the day schedule on the right ("then") is very easy to start, stop and modify. The charts provide a really useful summary of time per task across the day, weeks, month, and the CVS file it can generate enables me to automate moving the results into our office timesheet. If I needed to calculate dollars to bill per task, this app would not be the best choice. But without that need, its very complete, and yet simple to the point of elegant. Perfect!

Simple, elegant, effective & powerful

I looked for a long time for great time tracking tool. I finally found the app I would have designed myself. No reason to look further.

Crashes

I just dloaded the full version and it crashes/lock up when I turn on the notification switch in settings. Frustrating as hell

Just the Right App

Studying hard for graduation exams. This is the best and easiest way of keeping track of the time and sticking to schedule.

User Friendly, valuable info gained on time spent

Use this daily to prove how work hours are spent. Love comparison bar and pie charts - effective visual aid shows how essential job duties get sidetracked. This app offers concrete data to support inefficiencies with biz process

Great tool for Gov Contractors!

As a gov contractor I have to bill several programs throughout the week, requiring accurate records. At the end of day we must record total time per project. No real need to specify actually clock time as much as a need to record total hours per day, week, month. This app is great for tracking individual projects. However, it would earn more stars if there was a report feature to show accumulated total hours per designated period, per project for easy typing into our accounting system. If there is such a report, it is not intuitive as to where to find it.

It is a great way to keep track of where your time as gone

The app has been very stable. I like that you can take an entry that you had stopped and restart it if you need to (sometimes I think Im done with something, but end up continuing). I also like that you can set the start time retroactively. The only thing it needs in the pie chart is to have an option to show unassigned time.

Must have!

Ive been in desperate need for an app like this. It works for me to track my volunteer hours and projects at work. The hierarchy task list is simply brilliant. I use the first level to identify the "project" & quickly filter reports for managers who need to see where I spend my time. Its simple, easy to use and the exports are amazing. Pie chart? Bar graph? Yes. They have both. Dear app developer... Thank you.

Good but it needs one thing...

I use this app to time my study sessions for various subjects - I have a habit of neglecting the boring subjects. I wish I could click each category and see details and times spent for each. I am able to figure that information out with what is presented, but it could be easier. I may still be in search for an app that can provide that for me.

Intuitive, easy, complete, fundamental

Ive been testing several time and task management apps and this have been by far the easiest, cleanest and still complex, serious. It allows nested tasks and sub tasks, iCloud sync, powerful charts with filters, etc. The support is quick to reply, very thorough and engaging. Best mgmt app in the market. Keep on the good work!

Great app

Use every day to track my consulting time in detail. Then charts for summary time sheets for entry into corporate system.

Nice!!!

Exactly what I need. This app is awesome!

Wow!

Just add a widget to log time from the lock screen, and it would blow me away! ( ^ω^ )

Overall really good, but lacks one thing

This app is very good overall. Its easy to use & quick. It offers a nice amount of customization (although Id prefer a few more colors, if possible). Unfortunately, it lacks the ability to keep track of more than one event simultaneously. That is a big bummer. That part aside, its a good app.

Good

Making keep track of time and charge code easy. Would like to see an option to turn task to inactive and have them hidden.

Interesting

Its one of those apps that you want to learn to use. So thats already a good thing. I think one of the main things that can be updated if possible is the wiglet. It gives you option of opening the drop down list of tasks you set up to track. But if I click on a task, it takes me to the "then" page that has everything summed up. At bare minimum it should take me to the now page so I can click on which ever task I need to start tracking (the way it does with a task already being timed in background). Ultimately would be nice to hit play and stop in the wiglet section, but I dont know if this is an option. I also find the play/stop buttons rather small. I sometimes hit the description instead of the play/stop. Also, personally, I hold my phone with left hand and tap on stuff using right hand. So the fact that these important play/stop buttons are all the way on the left side of the phone makes it more of a commitment. I already see this wouldnt be the best app to use on the go. Only for stuff you sit down at a desk and have time to slowly and carefully select. Also the weekly view. Im not sure (with so many other options available) how come its not an option to scroll instead of jumping week to week. Also dont understand why is the current day of the week highlighted when viewing future weeks. I understand highlighting current day on any colander as a point of reference. Also like others said, cant track stuff simultaneously. Ill be looking out for updates, but maybe this is just not for me.

Life Monitoring Excellence.

I dont know if this would be a common use case for this app, but Ive been using it for five full months now; recording everything I do every day with the app. The results - the summary data I get access to is amazing! Everything is very well thought out and there are only a few gripes that I have with the app; but those arent worth mentioning - I intend to contact the developer directly for those UI issues. I really wish that this app survives and keeps evolving! An amazing visualization tool, very smooth UI, easy and straightforward data entry; amazing summarization methods. Cant recommend this app enough.

Wont post past events

This app has been great for posting an event timeframe however if you need to adjust the time it wont accept the change. There seems to be a glitch in posting past events. Sometimes you have to adjust the time later or post after the event because you are working on multiple projects. This is critical for someone like me who bills on time and expense. Please fix this. Other than that I love the ease of the app.
